What makes you different from other design agencies?
We are specialised in creating images to communicate science research and technologies. But more than that, we don't just create artworks, we create visual solutions that are designed to work for you in multiple ways, across multiple platforms, saving you time, funds and helps us to set up future projects more easily.
I don’t live in Melbourne; can we still work together?
Of course! We are fully equipped to offer our design services from a remote setting and have many clients and collaborators who work with us from interstate and aboard.
We sure do! We also run workshops on how to design academic posters, to teach students and postdocs a few easy tips that will help them create posters themselves.
Do you offer ongoing design support or retainers?
Absolutely! We offer a range of web and design support plans – perfect for those who need little bits of design work often. Send us an email to enquire about our latest pricings.
How long will my project take?
The three main factors that determine our project timelines is how big the project is, how may projects we already have in production, and the timeliness of your communications with us. Under normal circumstances, small projects have a turnaround of 1 - 2 weeks, medium projects 3 - 5 weeks, and larger projects 4 – 8 weeks. We understand sometimes you need things sooner and we do our best to accommodate any urgent requests.
How long does it take to do a journal cover?
Our preferred timeline is 2 weeks; however, we have been known to turn cover artworks around in as few as 4 or 5 days if there is an urgent request.
How long before I see a first draft of my project?
It depends on the project. Our draft turnaround for graphic design can be as fast as 48 hours but medical illustration, animation and web design take a bit longer. Regardless, we will always be transparent about our current workload and timelines and ensure you are constantly updated on the progress of your project.
How many changes can I ask for if I need to alter my design?
We typically allow for 2 design changes in our budget forecast. This excludes minor alterations to text or minor colour changes which we are happy to do as requested. However, if the changes do exceed the scope of the original project brief, we may need to add a little bit more to cover our costs.
