The 32nd edition of Medical Illustration and Animation is out, and works by Patton'd Studios features not once, but twice!
Each year, Serbin Creative compiles a collection of designers, illustrators, animators, and developers who specialise in the scientific and medical genres. The yearbook is designed as a resource for academics and scientific companies to go and find the right creatives to help them visualise their cutting-edge research or new technologies.
The Studio’s advert on page 64 features an artwork made especially for the single page feature. Entitled “Pathogen, ingotum”, or “Pathogen, unknown” the abstract medical artwork and depicts a futuristic virus-like structure looming over a system of red blood cells. The piece was composited using a combination of animation and Photoshop techniques.
Sharing the victory with one of our favourites
As an additional bonus, not only was the Patton’d Studios highlighted in the collection, but one of our favourite illustrators and long-time collaborators Maury Aaseng was also listed on page 79 featuring an infographic illustration on seizure-predicting devices which was produced in collaboration with the Studio.
“It’s great to be recognised alongside some of the best in the business. The Studio hasn’t been running for that long, and to already be mixing it established agencies is a sign we are growing in the right direction. What’s even better is that we get to share that success with Maury!”
– Molly Patton, Founder and Creative in Chief
There's more work to be done!
We’re incredibly proud of the work we’ve done so far, but there’s always more to be done! As the Studio continues to grow, we look forward to adding more talented creatives to our network and broadening our capabilities across medical illustration and animation.
